It's meant to look like one of those cheap afternoon shows with guys 'hunting' for the lochness monster, or big foot, or even the Jersey Devil. The graphic novel The Last Broadcast categorizes itself as an “Urban Exploration Adventure” which was unbeknownst to me as a genre prior to digitally swiping my way through its contents. It's not horror at all. This connection is a blessing and a curse for The Last Broadcast and its creators, Stefan Avalos and Lance Weiler. I'll give it a 1 star bump just for that. The film also makes an attempt to become more philosophical towards the end, and there is an unexpected twist. The story probably would've worked better as a 45 minute semi-short film as much of it becames repetitive and tedious.
